Computer Users Group – Bill Schneider
Bill Schneider first became interested in genealogy in 1960 but quickly gave up the search because of the amount of work involved in the research and record keeping. With the purchase of his first computer in 1981, his natural talent for computers became evident. It was not long before these two interests joined hands and Bill was back into genealogy. Joining TVGS in 2003, Bill volunteered to lead the Computer Users Group at its inception in January of 2004. The Computer Users Group has two goals − to take the mystery out of computers and to present issues that are important to the participants.
The Computer Users Group meets monthly in the Community Room of the Temecula Public Library. TVGS members and non−members discuss different facets of the Microsoft’s Window OS, genealogy programs, Internet, and PC hardware. Computer experience is not required so please join us on the third Friday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
